To Sequel or Not

With summer being here, it seems like we get sequel after sequel. What are your all time favorite movies that you had sequels, and which ones do you wish stopped at ONE?

Favorite Sequels:

1) Lethal Weapon
2) Star Wars (original)
3) Spiderman
4) LOTR
5) Bourne Series

Wish they stopped at ONE:

1) Jaws
2) Nightmare on Elm Street
3) Friday the 13th
4) Home Alone
5) Batman (George Clooney killed it for me)

I wouldn't count LOTR and The Matrix as sequels. Simply because the entire story was written before either of these trilogies were made. It seems that most "blockbuster" films are made with the intention of it being a trilogy. We have Lucas to thank for this.
I'd say for best sequel: Godfather II or The Empire Strikes Back (Though the SW story was entirely written before the film was ever made. But it was the first, so I guess it counts).
