Return of Jafar & Prince of Thieves- Sequels to Disney's Aladdin! - Blu-ray Forum

Hope this is in the right place?

Anyway, I've always loved these sequels, especially Return Of Jafar and it just baffles me why Disney haven't released them yet seen as they've released the first Aladdin on Blu-Ray. Also most other Disney movies have their sequels on Blu Ray in some form, so why not these? Return of Jafar was the first (wasn't it?

) surely that grants a release before any others?

its inevitable that Disney will double feature the Aladdin sequels about a month or two after the high-def debut of the original.

Guydowood is referring to the US. The UK did already get "Aladdin" on BD a while ago, but the US edition doesn't come out till this October. It is a pretty safe bet that the 2 sequels will be getting a release soon thereafter (the "Beauty and the Beast" and "Little Mermaid" sequels came out soon after their predecessor's high def debut).

Someone just showed me that on Instagram. I know it's probably not official ("Digital Copy" instead of "Digital HD", Diamond Edition borders, etc.) but I'm praying for the slightest chance that it is a legit early mock up.

I'm desperately trying to find the source of this image on the web (just to see if it's indeed legit) with no luck, can anyone else try?

That Aladdin cover is atrocious, I dunno what his facial expression is supposed to be there... really hope it's not final. Any word on Return of Jafar? Was kinda hoping that and King of Thieves would be on a single release.

If they do release these films, they most likely will be in a 2-movie collection, à la Cinderella II/III or Little Mermaid II/III. The only Disney animated film, I believe, that has received separate releases for two of its sequels is The Lion King.

Big thanks to Sotiris from DVDizzy.com who managed to find the source of the image. Unfortunately, it's not official. The sequels will probably be released together in a 2-Movie Collection and not separately.

The Disney Movie Club new release list shows that the films will be available to be ordered starting on October 13th.

It will be a club exclusive, which will probably be released nationally within a couple months.
