Germany 7500 finally released!

The Infamous "7500" horror on a transatlantic flight feature that was never released in the USA...or anywhere for that matter just got a German release.

I've ordered it and have been waiting to see it since the haunting Teaser Trailer was released in 2012..

I know it's probably a dog, but I'm a sucker for airline movies with passengers in peril...2 years waiting to find out what happens on this commercial flight.

Anyone else picking this up. Apparently it is region free ...but I'm not certain.

I got mine a few days ago but haven't watched it yet. The back of the case says A,B,C and I confirmed it on my region free player. However, IMDB shows it as being 97 mins, but my blu is only 80 mins. The leak on youtube also shows it is 79 mins and some change,

The US theatrical release was cut down to just under 80 minutes, so the IMDB runtime must have been an older preview screening cut, not the theatrical.

By the way, any extras on the German release?

I just watched it on Amazon Prime in the U.S. and it was 92 minutes, so if the German disc is really 80 minutes, a good chunk is missing, so that’s a hard pass for me, but the movie was riveting (I literally chewed off two fingernails watching it!) so I would LOVE to see the full version come to BD somewhere, anywhere (though a mix of English and German subtitles will be a must).

Think you may be referring to the movie 7500 from 2019, not the one from 2014.

100% correct; I didn't even know there were other options. Apologies for the confusion.

Letterboxd mentions not all of the dialogue is in English, is this true?

Do you think it is a hindrance to not have that dialogue subtitled, is it substantial?

Thing is I'm more likely to watch this on a 6 euro Blu-ray than on Prime Video, but not being able to understand everything would be a bummer.

It’s been a while since I watched it so forgive me if my memory is out of sorts but, as I recall, yes, it would detrimental for English subs to be missing for foreign language dialogue. And keep in mind, if your Euro BD says it runs 80 minutes, that’s twelve minutes shorter than the version Amazon Prime is streaming.

I have the German Blu-ray version and yes, it is indeed 79 minutes for the 2014 film. Which, FWIW, I think is a very good and atmospheric movie. The characters are drawn well, and the director does a great job in building the mystery and tension as time goes on. The subject has been done before, but still, I feel it is a very effective and entertaining film. It has an English soundtrack (since it is a US release) HIGHLY recommended if you enjoy low key, atmospheric Suspense and Mystery. (BTW, this won't spoil anything, but I would have LOVED it if they could have done a bit more with that awesome doll... )

I wonder why the site here does not show this German release or any Blu-ray release for that matter...?

***EDIT

Oh, I see now they do have the German Concorde release. Funny, under the general information about the film they do not show any Blu-ray releases only HD ones like iTunes and Amazon. Weird...

I know you posted this forever ago when the film came out, but please ignore the fellow's negative comments above and allow me to assure you that if you like low-key, mysterious and atmospheric stories, you'll like this one. I felt that even though the story has been done before, still, it was really well done, well acted, and overall quite effective.
