Well, I started collecting in January of this year and I've been keeping my receipts. Men In Black makes my 68th title and I'm almost at $500 I will officially go broke on July 8th which will be my next purchase day with Batman Begins LE, Gotham Knight, and Batman The Movie SE.

I don't remember the exact dates, but here goes:

Casino Royale (free - Wal-Mart)
Ratatouille (free - Wal-Mart)
Cars (free - Wal-Mart)
Die Hard (free - Wal-Mart)
Die Harder (free - Wal-Mart)
Die Hard w/ A Vengeance (free - Wal-Mart)
Live Free or Die Hard (free - Wal-Mart)
300 (free Wal-Mart)
Shinobi ($10.95 - Amazon.com)
Kung-Fu Hustle ($11.99 - Sound Garden)
A Scanner Darkly (free - gift from Sound Garden)
Chronicles of Narnia (free - gift from Sound Garden)
Planet Earth (free - Birthday gift)
Blade Runner ($11.95 - Tower.com)
John Legend Live @ House of Blues ($12 - Blu-ray.com Trade thread)

I think that's it. So all in all, 15 titles (22 discs in all) for $46. Add in a few $ for shipping, to round it up to $50, and that's still under $3.50 out of my pocket for each one.

I like BD's, but not enough to pay more than $15 for anything, and even then, that'd only be for movies I feel like I really need (or really need to upgrade from DVD).

I think I lost.

I'm not the one to break news or say whats one to do with his own money but most of them movies you got you paid waayy too much for at retail price when you could had either search the internet at either this site,Amazon,Ebay,Half.com,Buy.Com,etc and saved you hundreds of $$$ by not going to MovieStop and overpay for your Blu-Rays. You prolly made that store the number 1 blu-ray selling MovieStop in the company.

Sincerely,
BluPayne4400 and whoever else that agree with me

Over 75% of those titles were trade-ins of original DVD versions. So, the money out of my pocket was of little expense. But it is a great store...It's kinda like "Cheers" to me. Everybody knows my name.

I really haven't spent a whole lot this year because I bought most of the catalog movies I wanted last year. I've probably only spent around $400 this year. There really haven't been many releases yet this year I've wanted.

I don't know all the titles as I'm at work. But with over 70 purchases its kinda scary. I've done $300 in one go before. I've also ordered from Hong Kong, UK, Australia and USA and had my bank cancel my card because they suspected foul play.

To be honest, I feel somewhat cheated by my purchases. I want a projector to really bring BD to life.

Since buying a PS3 I've spent about $1000 replacing some of my favorite DVD movies on Blu Ray. It's becoming an addiction cause I told myself not to replace everything. Of course that flew out the window when I saw how great the PQ looked. Now I want everything replaced. I'm doomed.
