Default Movies you love but are suprised people you know haven't seen/heard of.

I have seen a lot of great movies that were recommended by the members here at Blu-Ray.com that I might not otherwise have seen had they not recommended them. Here are a few: Eraserhead (Never heard of it till recently), The Fountain (Would have let this pass by because of the reviews, Thanks Squidpuppet for the recommendation) The Deer Hunter, The Phildephia Experiment etc...

Here are a few that I love that many people I know have't seen/heard of:

Wrestling Ernest Hemmingway (Excellent story, Great cast (R.Duval, R. Harris, S. MaClaine, S. Bullock). If you like the Bucket list you'll love this one.

Intersection - Richard Gere, Lolita Davidovich and Sharron Stone. A remake of the French classic, " Les Choses de la Vie".

The Day The Earth Stood Still - One of my favorite Sci-Fi films of all time. This was a movie that classic the second it was released and IMO a movie that was way ahead of its time. See this before the remake comes out.

Definitely an underrated movie. I fell in love with this title as soon as I saw it about six years ago. I know what I'm watching after work tonight.

Bonnie and Clyde, Thanks UUAH. I had heard of this, but never saw it all the way through until UUAH bought it for me. Now I'm obsessed with it and recommend it to everyone, and they almost always seem surprised that there was ever a movie made about them. That doesn't even make sense to me.

One of my favorite movies is Green Street Hooligans (sometimes referred to as just Hooligans).

None of my friends have ever heard of it but it is definitely in my top 5 favorite movies.

Elijah Wood and many of the other "British" actors are absolutely amazing.

I love The Machinist and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Actually Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was the first Robert Downey Jr movie that I saw and was probably responsible for me seeing Iron Man. I knew after that movie that he would be perfect as Tony Stark.

Haven't seen Requiem For A Dream yet though. People say it is extremely depressing and not very enjoyable, so I have been kind of reluctant to see it.
