It's a french movie, came out last year. I watched it last night with english subs, and it was really...different. but really good. Anybody seen it? i guess it's based on a true story.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE.

Deserved that Best Director nomination at this year's Oscars.

Will buy this on DAY ONE when it comes out on BD.

Yeah this was one of last years best. The acting was outstanding as was the direction.

oh yeah i heard it one best picture and foreign director at Golden Globes. it sure deserves it.

this is an amazing movie and would no doubt make for a great blu-ray experience. the website for the movie (http://video.movies.go.com/thediving...rfly/main.html) has "Blu-ray" in the title but i have found no further information on this. i guess for now at least that's a promising sign...

Just watched it

What a beautiful remarkably beautiful film, and it took me through a whirlwind of emotions. Though he did not really have to do much physically I thought Mathieu Amalric had a great performance in the lines of dialog, very witty.

every time I remember this film i remember it in English, weird. It's like you connect his voice with the English subtitles and it becomes real.

God this movie keeps saying 'long wait' on my netflix...like seriously? I am dying to see this for the longest time!

I went to my new international film literature class for the first time today, and my professor said it's one of his all time favorites, and since it's the newest, it's what our final exam will be on since the films we view are in chronological order. So I'll be waiting for April/May to roll around to see/critique this film.

I already learned about the story behind what inspired the book in biopsychology, it's quite interesting. And knowing the story translated into a cinematic masterpiece which originated from communicating with one eyelid, to a novel, to a screenwriter, to a director is beyond words.

The book is real, he pretty much lived just long enough to finish it.

I went to blockbuster to rent it, and it was still in the new release section!

but it was well worth the 5 dollarrs.
