Default The Forsaken (2001)

Anyone else a fan of The Forsaken? IMHO, this is a very underrated vampire flick that not many have heard of. I've seen it several times over the years, and it's long overdue for the Blu format. The DVD has been OOP for years, and there is a lot of room for improvement re: the PQ, etc.

Ha! I have this film on DVD. It's not very good with some super embarrassing scenes...but it is such a guilty pleasure.

Yes - I agree The Forsaken is not the best horror film out there, but at the same time, as you said, it's enjoyable & IMHO deserves more attention than it's gotten so far. Maybe a Blu release will get it out to a wider audience...

In general, I would like to see studios step up their release of more obscure horror films to Blu around this time of year (i.e., the month leading up to Halloween). There are so many great horror flicks out there that either haven't made it to DVD, or the DVD is OOP...

Now that you brought it up....I need to dig up the movie and watch it. I was obsessed with the film when it first came out and showed it to anyone who would sit down and watch it with me. Lots of laughs...but some good frights and I like the showdown in the end.
