I saw this yesterday and it was really good!

The cinematography and scenery is amazing, as is the color palate. The soundtrack was actually not bad, it is something I plan to buy. I think the reviews are not that good, but I though it was better than expected.

The picture shown above has a Walking Dead tone to it, that is not what this film is about. It is more of a dystopian story about a farming community. It is rated R for violence and some language. I'd give it 8/10.

Anyone get shipping confirmation from Amazon yet? My copy for Gone Girl shipped, and I would have thought they would combine them.

This feels like another IOrigins situation.

Amazon might have sold out of the copies they received already. No one else I checked has it listed as out of stock or unavailable, so maybe they just didn't order enough copies. Make a complaint and get a partial refund if you are upset.

At first glance I thought The Young Ones was going to get the blu-ray treatment, but alas my initial excitement was quickly dashed...

Mine is preparing for shipment now. Still with a "guaranteed" release by 8 PM tonight. Maybe they are sending a drone.

I pre-ordered mine from Amazon back in October and my copy was received yesterday. Although I am happy with the purchase because it is one of my favorite films from this past year, the blu-ray is def not worth $20 IMO.

The only special feature is a lame storyboard comparison - literally not even the trailers, which I was really hoping to have in high-def (some of the international trailers were really cool and only available in very low quality on the web). And the cover art they went with is so godawful - I cannot comprehend why they would use such a crappy cover when they created really great and epic looking poster art. Oh well - the transfer looks really good to my eyes though which is the most important part. I wish more people were aware of this great little film!

I rented this and watched it the other night. It was pretty decent. I wouldn't say it was anything amazing, but it was definitely worth checking out. I don't think I'll buy it unless I can get it cheap, but I'm certainly glad I was able to see it.

I think this is one of those titles that will get cheaper over time. I am waiting for it it hit $5.99, which I really think it might.

Same bonus on the French edition Potemkine released a couple of weeks ago (a joint interview of Jake Paltrow & Wes Anderson as well as some deleted scenes were originally expected, don't know why they totally vanished

). So even if I still want to own the film on Blu, I decided to postpone my purchase and patiently wait for a price drop. Or a UK release with more material but since I read this thread, my hopes are suddenly very low...

Just noticed this on Amazon UK; the cover is done in the same colors as the posters for Mad Max: Fury Road, and the title has been changed to "Badland: Road to Fury".

I mean, really???

This ain't a dystopian movie, it's a futuristic Western and that's good, too.

I do wish it featured more of Michael Shannon.
