There was also an uncut SD release with dutch audio from EuroVideo. It did not have any subtitles. It was also rated FSK16, so I would say that the StudioCanal BD will be avaible at amazon without problems.

No problem I was happy to get the uncut disc, but I hardly ever watch a german dubbed film, so I sorely missed subs. By the time the British SD edition from Shameless was released, I was already hoping for a Blu-ray.
Let's see if Studio Canal was able to license the 35 minute making of that appeared on the Dutch and GB DVDs.

Yup, there won't be. But of course the mere existence of a BD release bodes well for a potential eventual English-friendly release elsewhere.

Although advertised as being uncut by Studio Canal, this is in fact the censored German print. It is unconfirmed at the moment if it's only one cut scene or two. The first German DVD was cut as well (and had German audio only). A second edition was uncut and had original Dutch audio, frustratingly without offering any subtitles. So at the moment it seems like the British Shameless DVD might be the best choice for non-Dutch audiences.

I tested the bluray and in terms of picture quality its a huge upgrade. Probably 3/4 times sharper than the dvd of Shameless

However, 2 scenes are cut, which is a shame

He rules. You need to go to our neighbouring country Germany for a copy and you get a Cut version WTF. Holland don't appriciate our movie culture. Still waiting for a fantastic release of
'Soldier of Orange' ( Soldaat van Oranje)- Paul Verhoeven

In Holland Bluray has become a niche market. Try to find a great copy nowadays

Studiocanal are aware of the censored version which was released by mistake. If you bought the edited Blu-ray you can send in a proof of purchase (copy) or the disc and they will send you the unrated version (though I'm not sure if foreign customers can do this as well)

I have been attempting to research this disc - I hear that it's cut, but Studio Canal is aware and issuing replacements. Does anyone own? Can you confirm Region, Subtitles, etc. This is one of my favorite films.
