John Wick stuns all and places #1 in second week.

Horror movies usually drop really quickly after opening weekend.

I'm going with Nightcrawler, but only because it is opening in 1,000 more theaters than Saw. If they had been equal, I would have gone with Saw, given that it's Halloween and all.

Halloween or not, I don't see many people seeing Saw this weekend.

Had it been a new Saw movie on the other hand...

Oh, I just meant compared to everything else coming out. It's going to be a very small weekend at the box office I think.

Nightcrawler looks awesome, but I don't see it having a wide appeal. Saw, as you say, is a re-release. Ouija's going to drop off the cliff in it's second weekend.

Actually, I wouldn't be that surprised if either Gone Girl or Fury came in second.

Yeah, I would say they're giving Nightcrawler about the same amount of TV spot marketing as John Wick, which as everyone knows, exceeded original expectations.

So unless you've caught the recent TV spots with that Kendrick Lamar song attached to it, then word of mouth is probably going to help drive sales at the box office for this film. I hope it succeeds. Gyllenhaal was brilliant in Prisoners and Enemy, and he looks to continue that streak in Nightcrawler.

Hmm, Fury seems to be leaving theaters soon, at least around here, so I wanna check it out while I still can. Nightcrawler/Birdman will stick around a few more weeks, I think.
