Finally a date for the US release. I don't think I will pick it up though since I plan on importing the UK release.

I watched the UK version over the weekend, it has more special features than the Well Go release and is region A compatible.

The Canadian release is to be skipped as well. It has very few special features and no lossless audio (even though it advertises lossless audio.) I can also confirm from experience that the British Blu-ray has tons of extras, lossless audio, and is fully compatible with region A.

Is there a review of the UK release anywhere?

There's a UV sticker on the picture of the UK version. Since this is available via VUDU, if I redeem the code through a UK proxy I should be able to watch it in VUDU, right? I don't think the Flixter Roku app plays UV movies.

This is confusing.

UK ultraviolet copies can only be watched via the Flixster website or app on tablets / phones or via the Sony movies UV website.

We have a lot less UV playback options than you guys in the US

Hows the transfer on the UK version? Anyone think it will be a different, maybe better transfer in the states?

Received the UK version today, has a nice reflective slipcover and although I wasn't a fan of the artwork seeing it online, it looks a lot better in person. Looking forward to revisiting the film as well as getting through these extras.

P.S. cover lists region A,B,C

Of course, as soon as I buy the UK version, a U.S. date is announced.

Never fails.

Best Buy has this for $14.99, pre-order 20 January 2015.

I streamed it a while back, but I will be picking it up at that price. Preordered!

Not quite what I expected . However all of the special features are a nice addition compared to the yet to be released us version. However I do not see myself returning to it so I sold mine.

I was searching for this movie. I forgot all about it. I had to search under the director of 12 Monkeys since i didn't remember the name.

Why is it getting a release so late, was the movie not good?

I think Gilliam had trouble getting distribution. The theatrical release was very limited, and the Blu-ray isn't coming from a big studio.

The UK release got so cheap I decided to cancel my pre-order for the US release last week. I'm waiting for my UK order to arrive, and it's a sign of the times that I am frustrated by the lack of tracking info.

I have the UK disc and noticed the picture is windowboxed with thin black borders on all four sides, with rounded corners.

I did some reading on it in a recent Cinefex article, and Terry Gilliam wanted the rounded corners of the original negative to be visible (the film was not shot digitally). Just a heads-up if you're adverse to window-boxing.

It is a gorgeous allegory. Will it appeal to everyone? No...but it isn't meant to.

I've had the UK BD since it was released.
