U.S. distributors Severin Films have confirmed that they will release on Blu-ray two cult films directed by Jess Franco: She Killed in Ecstasy (1971), starring Soledad Miranda, Fred Williams, and Paul Muller, and Vampyros Lesbos (1971), starring Soledad Miranda, Dennis Price, and Ewa Strömberg. Official release dates are yet to be announced, but the two titles are expected to be on the market in 2015.

Dr. Johnson (Fred Williams) lives in bliss with his beautiful wife (Vampyros Lesbos' Soledad Miranda) until his unorthodox experiments with human embryos cause a medical committee to reject his findings and orders him to discontinue his work. The unstable doc does the only sensible thing: slashes his wrists in the bathroom. Devastated, his wife vows to seduce and kill the woman and three men "responsible" for the suicide. Yeah, I went ahead and preordered this and Vampyros. If Vampyros still hasn't dropped when the release date is approaching I will probably cancel and go with Diabolik though.

I've thought about pre-ordering from Best Buy for 'Vampyros'...I guess I could do that, and cancel if Amazon goes to the same price. Then again, Best Buy has Rollin's 'The Escapees' for $20 right now, which I could pair it with.

I received these discs today and wanted to confirm that both are REGION-FREE. I have not viewed them yet and cannot comment on the quality/presentation.

I own the german releases of She Killed In Ecstasy & Vampyros Lesbos but I haven't seen them yet. Maybe I will tomorrow

I opened and watched this last night. This was a blind-buy for me but, I gotta say, I found it to be boring. I am debating a possible re-sell so I am especially careful with the delicate packaging!!!

It's not as good as Vampyros Lesbos. It's actually a loose remake of an earlier, better Franco film called The Diabolical Dr. Z. The real draw is Soledad Miranda. If you fancy her, this movie is a chance to see more of her before her tragic death.

I believe it's more limited than VL, plus it comes with the soundtrack. Might be a good idea to hold on to it for a while before selling.

Just tried taking the soundtrack CD out for the first time since buying this set years ago and it snapped. Does anyone think that Severin would provide a replacement?

I don't like Severin much at all. Their restorations are terrible, and it sounds like they're using cheap quality plastics. Did you ever find your answer?
