I understand (even if I dislike it) not releasing the Indiana Jones original trilogy on Blu-ray this fall. But not releasing Crystal Skull? To me, that seems like lunacy. Or maybe just selfishness - "Let other people's films grow the format, I won't throw even the smallest bone - but then I'll capitalize on that growth later."

BUT, of course Indy 4 might come out on Blu-ray too, i'am not saying it won't but considering the attitude of Lucas and a little less Speilberg (He did let C3K on Blu-ray)... let bring my ![]() |

This listed from the HIGHY reliable Geonisis on HDD
Indy 4 has a street date and supplements listed for a BD release in October. The reason for the silence is to I guess make a huge splash announcement with Lucas and Spielberg, perhaps some "surprise" press event to announce the BD release. guess people still not seeing this^^ Last edited by That Purple Stuff; 07-03-2008 at 11:40 PM. |

The undecided part for Indy IV does seems kind of weird. Wouldn't they need to make a decision very soon to hit a street date this year - especially considering the limited capacity of the replicators?
Anyway - very exciting news. I'm going to be VERY broke starting in September. Oh - and I really hope we see a new encode for X3 (I highly doubt it though) or at very least all the special features from the previous releases of the X-men trilogy on DVD. |

It could be more of a matter that they have not fully decided as to what kind of release, a regular or special edition or how they want to do it. Sometimes companies just want to announce things themselves. Geonosis has not steered us wrong yet. |
