Default Cannot connect to wireless signal.

My connection to the internet disappeared yesterday. Computers are still hooked up wirelessly. PS3 and xbox cannot find my wireless signal. My xbox connected to someone elses signal. Router is a linksys wrt54g. Everything has been connected and working for 2 years now it doesn't. I have unhooked router and modem and and reset and it still won't work. Anyone know what to do.
No internet no call of duty this sucks .I dont want to drag out the 100 foot cat5.

I did not do anything that should have stopped the signal. My wife turned on her notebook and it connected right away so it still is broadcasting a signal. The ps3 and xbox cannot find my signal no matter how many searches i do.

well most systems will continue to connect to the wifi once the ssid has been shut off, but certain systems wont (like if u have vista installed, u have to tell it to connect even if the router isnt broadcasting)

i cant think of anything else.. log onto the routers settings page its default page addy is this 192.168.1.1 login and then click the "wireless" tab and see if your still broadcasting

:/ hope it'll help

edit: oh and check to make sure your wireless security is set to no higher than wpa (ps3 doesnt support wpa2 last i remmeber)

Power off and on the router. The ol' off-on method.

Thanks I will try it when I get home. I am at work until 2 today. If that doesn't work I have no idea. Nothing was done to make it stop broadcasting.

Interesting, my buddy woke up one day and said he couldnt connect to his Wireless B router... Computers and everything connected but the PS3.... When you check the settings in the PS3 what does it say?? are you able to auto-search for any wireless signals?? is your router/switch secured using WEP/WPA? have you verified you didn't make any changes in your PS3... try power cycling the router??? This is very interesting, btw my friend has a 60GB.

Also, as a last resort **ONLY**

You could hit the 'factory reset' button... but that will set everything back to factory defaults.

The main thing I would do is, make sure you can connect wirelessly somewhere... you said you have an XBox that is picking up another wireless signal? outside of the one in your home? Is it able to pick up your wireless router/AP?? The fact that your pc's can connect but the PS3 cant tells me either something in the hardware is failing, or theres a configuration issue.

My computers can connect wirelessly. My xbox can't find my signal but it can connect to other wireless signals. The ps3 can't find any signal. My pc is plugged into my router and gets internet, my wife's notebook can connect with wi-fi so the router is putting out a signal. Nothing has been moved or disconnected. I have unplugged and replugged in the router and modem. When I search for a connection on the ps3 and xbox it can't find my wireless network. Very strange.

hrmmmmm..... I've never heard of a wifi controller in a PS3 dieing, but stranger things have happened... is it under warranty still? are you getting a green light at all on your PS3? for the wifi, next to the hard drive activity light?

Thanks everyone for your help. X400 had it right. I went to the linksys page and reset up my network. For some reason my network disappeared. I checked my x-box and it instantly went online i checked the setting and it was connected to my network. I shut it off, and turned on my ps3 . Back online and able to download, play online, and use the ps store. Thank you.
All of you have a good fourth. I am at home now going to go drink and BBQ and watch ID4 and Patriot.
