What a thrill it is to finally have this great documentary legitimately available on Blu-ray (and DVD). I saw it when it was first released theatrically in '03 and never imagined a legit home video release would be possible.
For those who haven't seen it, this is a fascinating and essential visual essay on the representation and misrepresentation of Los Angeles and its inhabitants on film, throughout cinema history. Site review. |
