As far as I can tell, the UK packaging is identical to the US packaging. There's a different paper slip on the back with a BBFC PG certificate on it, that the US obviously wouldn't have had.

Bare in mind, the Amazon UK picture (like the US one) is a digital mock-up, not the real thing so that's why there might be a difference. If there is a difference, I can't really tell.

There is no ultraviolet copy.

I'm curious about two things:

When the paper slip comes off, is the box art underneath free of BBFC certificates?

And do the discs include all of the relevant titles? WB UK sets have a tendency to leave off the film/TV title (see Superman, Elm Street, etc).

Once you remove the slip, there's no certificates anywhere on the packaging. It really is just the US box with a bit of paper on it.

Do you mean on the discs themselves? There's no mention of the episodes on the labels. Just season 1, disc 1 etc.

That sounds good re: the outer box.

I didn't expect episode titles on the discs but if the "Batman" title and season/disc numbers are there, then I'm happy.

I assume the BBFC certs are printed on the discs?

Sorry for sounding anal. Was going to import but seems like the UK box is worthy of consideration :-)

Thanks!

Mine's just arrived and everything is identical to the US set, other than UK classification symbols on it, which are just sticks.

Don't they have to have ratings on the discs by law?

Yep. No UV. I'm gutted and complained to Amazon. I suggest everyone else does too as it was clearly advertised on the box image and in the item description's bullet points on the page.

Has Warners UK ever released a special UCE type set in the UK which matches the US release? Or do they constantly screw us over?

I have also complained. Came here to ask others to join me, so both thinking the same the more who complain the more likely Warner will be forced to issue codes.

It is listed on Flixster UK redemptions for uv so obviously Warner pulled the plug at the last minute on giving the UK uv copies.

Many UK disks don't have ratings logos, had always considered it optional.

I can't think of any of my discs that don't have BBFC ratings on them. I would have though these discs have the German ratings on them too!

Complained too. Also sent an email to info@warnerbros.com. To see if that goes anywhere....

I can't think of any either. If there are some then it's an error. Even old double-sided DVDs had to have the BBFC certificate on the inner part of the disc.

Strangely though, while this set does have BBFC certificates on the discs (no other ratings though), they're white with the yellow part of the PG transparent so you can still see the colour and design of the disc through it.

I didn't even notice the PG stickers on the box until someone pointed them out. They're also pretty transparent and only appear correctly if you stick them on something white.

To clarify an earlier question (which I forgot to quote here), the labels do say season 1, disc 1 etc. but also the episode number on each disc (ie: episodes 1-12, episodes 13 -20*).

* example only as I can't be bothered to open the box again to check.

Got an email back from Amazon to say they are checking stock in the fulfilment centre.
A few more email complaints and they will take it off sale and put on review !

They sound like they look a bit like the Disney BD disc art we have.

I got a reply offering a replacement (yeah, that will work!), a refund (send the set back) or a partial refund.

I've no replied yet, as I'm hoping some UV codes can be sent electronically.

Nothing about checking stock or removing from sale.

There's no code, and no mention of UV on any of the packaging.
