UK Charity Shop Finds - Page 31 - Blu-ray Forum

My local charity shop comes up trumps again.

I saw sealed steelbooks of Sciaro and Cabin in the Woods and I put in a Muppet Show DVD to make it up to three for a quid.

It was only later that I realised that the Steelbooks were 4K. Which was nice...

Picked up the following from my local Tenovus (all on Blu) -

The Arnold Schwarzenegger Collection (Terminator, Predator, Commando, Conan The Barbarian)
Prisoners
Eyes Without A Face (BFI)
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri
Man Of Steel

My best Buy was a pair of Levi’s in perfect condition for £5. The whole lot cost £15, I told them to keep the change from a £20 note. Decent morning.

A quick visit to Hazel Grove the other day produced this for £1. I've never seen it but the cast is impressive, Claudia Cardinale doesn't even get billing on the cover.

Nice find. I don’t know the film, either, but worth a punt for the cast alone.

We did 37 different charity shops over the weekend. It would have been more, but there were quite a few closed.

It's a great film and in many ways a dry run for The Wild Bunch, despite the only common denominator being Robert Ryan.

After a bit of a blu-ray and DVD drought finally found three things worth posting:

£0.95, £0.75 and £3.00.

Continuing the random USA Criterions in random charity shops series Mon Oncle is an upgrade from VHS.

The really rather good Man On Wire an upgrade from DVD.

Haven't seen any of the Smokey and the Bandit films since I was a kid but at that price I couldn't resist the opportunity to revisit them.

Found nothing for a while - but getting rid of a lot of unwanted DVDs (and a few blu-rays: nothing exciting, just Da Vinci Code, Adjustment Bureau, etc) is very satisfying
