For shits and giggles I grabbed the starter weapon, the Khostov assault rifle, and figured, well, I'm L30, let's see if I can have fun with this.

Nope. 20 damage a bullet.

Yep. Big ol' download file.

I'm glad I can buy & preview shaders now. Sell that God Of War one, Eva.

And I never even used the under-platform Aksor trick until last Tuesday.

I actually prefer the cliff edge spot, it's easier to solo it from there IMO. I did it twice with no problems.

Is it me or have they changed the colour of the queens guard gear in the icons?

Gah, they've changed loads of icons. Gonna take a bit of getting used to, So glad we can take 10 bounties now though Hopefully Iron Banner starts tomorrow now then.

Understandable, but as with every other shared world game, they have to have a chunk of that content in place on everyone's system so they don't break co-op.

It turns out the cliff spot was the patched one, not the platform.

Yes! I was hoping for that. I'm going to try to solo it with my L28 Warlock tonight.

lol, whaaaaaat! That sucks and doesn't make sense. I feel like crawling under the ramp is the sissy one, the edge still requires some sort of skill, it's not a complete freebie.

Could be an interesting update. It looks like I will have to learn the event times again and I will finally have a reason to stop by Eva Levante's shop when I am at the Tower.

I could have used the extra bounty storage last week when I had 3 exotic bounties but it is nice to have now. I didn't see it in the notes but hopefully they are also adding some more daily bounties. Right now there are 38 Vanguard bounties they can pick from.

I got back into the crucible this morning and went 13/2 (6.5 k/d) with my hand cannon on a control map! I forgot how much fun I was having with crucible because I've been grinding dailies/weeklies lately. If anyone ever wants to get together and go into the crucible as a full team that would be awesome!

Well, that makes sense lol.

Under the platform IMO is 10x easier than staying around by the cliff. Strange that they deemed the cliff to be more inappropriate than the platform

Looking forward to getting some lvl 30 gear for my Hunter in the Iron Banner

Here’s a confirmation of everything you’ll need to know if you’re to prosper in the new, improved, and exceedingly dangerous Iron Banner:

Power. Does. Matter! (no, really)
  • Only players Level 20 and above can lead a Fireteam
  • Players below Level 20 can accompany more powerful friends
  • Players within 3 Levels can be competitive with each other
  • Your DEFENSE rating affects how you take damage
  • Wear your best (highest rated) armor
  • Players out of your league will seem like a Boss
  • Your ATTACK rating affects how you inflict damage
  • Equip your best (highest rated) weapons
  • Lower-level players wielding fully-upgraded weapons should still be considered a very credible threat!

Claim victory to gain reputation.
  • Lord Saladin now has five ranks to obtain through victory
  • Your previous Iron Banner rank has been preserved
  • The Tempered buff is a twelve-hour boost in reputation gains
  • Activate Tempered later during the event to catch up faster

Acquire exclusive Iron Banner rewards.
  • Increase your Rank to unlock better gear
  • Reforge weapons to reset progression with new perks
  • Earn gauntlets and boots to move you closer to Level 30
  • See Lord Saladin for details!

Quitters never win.
  • Reputation gains are only awarded only to the winners
  • Defeat grants a token to be redeemed after a future win
  • You can carry up to five Iron Medallions at any time
  • Partial reputation gains are earned instantly upon victory
Strike while the Iron is hot.
  • Your reputation will be reset at the conclusion of this Iron Banner
  • Like any competitive activity, each new event is a chance to regain your standing

I have read a few places that it looks like they reduced the damage of Thorn in this update as well. There are some funny comments from passed off people out there.
