That would be a bit of a drive but I would be glad to demo the XS15se for you.
PM me with some Date options when you feel that you want to do it.

My new SV15se showed up this morning. It fits on the riser I made for my MFW like it was actually made for the SV15. Getting it moved into place wasn't too bad and setup was a breeze. I let my receiver run its auto setup and then I made some tweaks using my SPL meter. It sounds great. No more humming which means I don't need the 3 prong to 2 prong plug adapter. No more random thumps. It looks better than the MFW and IMO everything about it from an outward examination appears to be higher quality. I put in Transformers and listened to the Ironhide flip scene and was very impressed. Since then I've gone through a few action packed, bass heavy scenes and am loving it.

Thanks. I'm watching Pacific Rim now so it's getting broken in pretty well. At first I didn't think it was quite as loud as the MFW (even though it was set the same using my SPL meter), but now I'm realizing it's actually louder and more powerful, but cleaner.

It's fun to replay some of the old movies and music that you were familiar with and discover a new level/quality of Audio to enjoy and that you haven't heard before.

If you REALLY want to break-in your new sub, then pop this flick
into your Blu-ray player...

From what I recall that would certainly be an excellent movie for any new sub, but unfortunately I don't have it.

Glad it's working out for you! Those are generally my impressions over the MFW as well, particularly the cleaner bass. Congrats, man!

I picked this up and checked it out. The movie was as bad as I remember, but the bass is incredible!

I thought it had scenes that were well done but there wasn't a lot of plot continuity from scene to scene. Maybe the editing was at fault? And the 30 minutes(in the basement) really slowed the pacing down so much...

I really like apocalyptic (and post apoc) films though so I'm never too critical of them.

Book of Eli , Road Warrior, and 12 Monkeys are 3 really good ones..

Would you believe I went through the first viewing without realizing he's blind? I always miss not so subtle things like that though..

Another less known film is Testament.

I got that on release and just haven't made time for it. I have heard good things about it though(sound track and overall movie)

If you like War films Fury has a lot of sound going on, but it also has some scenes that you may find hard to take.

Yeah, I need to order that.

I tend to look for a good film and then it is just a bonus if it has a great mix. Some of those god awful films in the "best ULF" threads....ugg. Give me Jaws on a mono 13" b/w tv any day!

Ha..What's That?
Just kidding, when I was 19 I had a battery powered 6" TV/Radio combo in my first apartment and it seemed like I had to sit no further than 2ft from it just to see anything on it.

LOL That's funny. I was talking to a family member a while back about this movie. He had seen it several times and still never got it until I explained it to him.
