Miss. State's coach seems to have no idea what the game situation is. You can't just lazily run down the field eating up 5 minutes when you need 2 TDs and only have 6 minutes left.

*EDIT* Seems like Alabama can punch their ticket to the Final 4 unless they lose to both Auburn and the SEC championship.

I think they have to win both of those. I know the committee seems to love the SEC but I'm just not seeing them putting a 2-loss Alabama team in over a 1-loss OSU, TCU or Baylor team unless a bunch of upsets happen.

I hope so. I'd love to see the playoff thrown into chaos with FSU, Bama and maybe Oregon all losing a game. Looks like Baylor is going to barely scrape by Texas Tech.

You really think if Alabama only lost once they'd have an SEC-less Final 4? I don't think a Missouri victory would put them in.

I'd have to see that to believe it.

There is no chance they would have a playoff without at least one SEC team. They were very prepared to have two SEC teams until they all started losing. The SEC looks overrated this year, their QBs are mostly terrible.

I think the Baylor Texas Tech thing is really putting a damper on the chances of Baylor leaping TCU. TCU dropped 82 on this Texas Tech team, Baylor is struggling to squeak by.

I agree, but to be fair Petty did get knocked out. I do think if Ohio State beats Wisconsin, they will be #4.

If Auburn beats Bama, they HAVE to leave the SEC out.

I think he was more speculating that Bama is going to lose this Iron Bowl therefore giving them two losses. I'd have to agree. I'd hate to see Bama in with two losses. As a matter of fact, if Bama loses, I'd be a little upset to see any SEC team in the playoff with all having two losses. That's assuming Auburn can hang on tonight. I hope they do.

Can someone explain to me why the announcers keep talking about how even though they both had possession the Alabama player had "more" possession?

Is this a real thing or are the announcers just making stuff up?

I've been constantly upset by the blatant favoritism of the SEC for the last 3 or so years.

Why should a playoff change things?

You're right. What worries me is that ESPN has broadcast rights for the playoff and nobody loves the SEC more than those jerks. I guess I should temper my expectations even if the Tide lose this game.

They're just as clueless as the rest of the announcers ESPN, Fox, CBS and NBC hire.

What does that have to do with the playoff selection committee? Only two of it's 13 selection members are affiliated with the SEC. I know the committee is sort of a joke with people like Condoleezza Rice on it but it's by no means stacked with pro-SEC people. In any case it doesn't matter since Alabama won.

Even though Watson has a torn ACL, he's still playing, and can't run like he should i want to see them play on Jan. 1.

Nice win against SCjr, was pulling for Clemson to win because I wanted ACC to go 4-0 against SEC.
