Dez Bryant is a Top5, if not Top3 WR. So he's going to make those other guys good just by drawing coverage.
KC has no such WR. Plus Romo is a better QB than Alex Smith.
Not a good comparison.

Not sure why people keep giving Alex Smith so much $, he's a bum and has been since he was drafted out of the "great" QB school of Utah. So what if he supposedly has a high intellect, it hasn't translated to even a solid NFL career. Especially when you consider that he was the #1 overall pick in the 2005 draft.

No doubt. Ryan Fitzpatrick is a pretty smart guy, but that doesn't always translate to on-the-field success.
I do think it would be pretty amazing if KC finishes the season with no WR TDs. Then again, you've got to think they will explode...right? Possilbe FF sleeper there.

Alex Smith has a noodle-arm and poor ball placement, kinda odd that Reid can't get more out of him considering the career McNabb had. Then again McNabb was far more talented than Smith can ever dream of being. Aaron Rodgers on this 49ers team scares the crap out of me, they probably would've won at least 3 Super Bowls during the decade he's been in the NFL.

Good luck with that AP. I'm sure there will be a lot of options available in the Olympics for a guy who will be 31 by the 2016 games. IF he wants to compete in the Olympics he should go the bobsled route like Herschel Walker.

Adrian Peterson Says He May Retire From The NFL And Pursue The Olympics

Peterson will file a lawsuit against the league over its disciplinary process, one that could put his reinstatement at risk. If he is not able to re-enter the NFL relatively soon — his current suspension lasts through April — among Peterson's options are retirement, or attempting to compete in the Olympics, according to a 60-minute phone interview Peterson had with ESPN:

"I've considered retiring from the NFL," Peterson said. "I still made $8 million dollars this year. I've thought about getting back into the real estate (business in Texas) I'm already in. That's something I've been interested in, something I'm involved in. I've thought about getting back into that. I've thought about going after the Olympics — you only live once. It might be time for me to pursue that, as well. I love playing football, don't get me wrong, but this situation is deeper than that. For me, it's like, 'Why should I continue to be a part of an organization or a business that handles players the way they do? Making money off the field anyway, why not continue to pursue that (Olympic) dream and pursue other dreams and hang up the cleats?'"

According to a person with direct knowledge of the situation, a lawsuit will be filed against the NFL on Peterson's behalf in federal court in Minnesota as early as Monday. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the lawsuit had not yet been filed.

Peterson said he's interested in competing in the 200- and 400-meter dashes in the Olympics, adding, "I've seriously thought about this real hard. I continue to pray about it, but it's been something that has been heavy, heavy on my heart.

No team will want him in the NFL. Might as well try other things

I think the best thing for everyone is for him to stay as far away from family members and kids as possible

AP, how about this:

Just accept your punishment, be contrite and move on with your career.

OR:

Attempt to sue the NFL, try out for the Olympics then cut your nose off to spite your face.

There is no facepalm epic enough. Good riddance

And as has been said... Dez is top 5. Terrance Williams is decent and a good deep threat. Haven't watched enough of their games to understand why he has fallen off the face of the planet the last couple of months.

I really hope you guys don't choke and miss the playoffs. I just get that awful feeling. I grew up a Cowboys fan before the Titans came to town, so I still have a bit of a soft spot for them. And I did have a reason to be a Cowboys fan because my dad was from Texas and grew up a fan.

Beasley is a Welker/Edelman lite. They will probably not make the play-offs if they don't win out, so I'd place their chances of getting in right now at about 20%.

Beasley is roughly the same size, but nowhere near the same player.

It pisses me off that every time a short white slot receiver comes into the league... He's just like Welker! Lol

People said the same about Marc Mariani... I loved Mariani and was pissed we cut him because he was a great returner, but he wore the same # as Welker, and that was about it.

And just 20% chance? I doubt that... Just win this Sunday and you'll be in good shape. Who would get in the playoffs if the Cowboys, Cardinals and Lions all finished 11-5?

Adrian Peterson will be on a team next season, he's not as poisonous as ray ray.

Cardinals and Lions both have the tie-breaker over us, all 4 of our losses are to the NFC, which will sink us if we finish in a tie with any other team vying for a wild card spot.

Hopefully he plays for the Titans...

We are in desperate need for a big time player, and who cares if we take a PR hit. No one even knows we exist right now. #1 pick and AP... All the sudden people would remember the Titans. No pun intended.

Also most people in the south apparently use switches on their kids. I didn't even know what a switch was, and I was shocked and appalled to hear how many of my co-workers, former classmates, etc. had little issue with AP beating his kid... They say "oh that's just discipline and my parents did the same to me." Well, parents can be wrong quite often. These are mostly Knoxville/east TN losers with these opinions though. Knoxville/east TN epitomizes the southern stereotypes. Nashville is different. But still... It won't be as big of a PR hit for us as it would be for big market teams.

That said, I think AP obviously learned a lesson. His parents raised him poorly in many aspects, so I guess he didn't know better. After all his dad was a loser prison inmate. And his mom was probably long in the poon.
