Word of warning to anyone playing this game on a plasma TV, the HUD display WILL leave a permanent image burned into your set! I have a Panasonic VT60 plasma and I now have a permanent image of the HUD in the lower left corner of my panel! I emailed Bungie telling them of this and that they need to patch in an opacity adjustment setting option to avoid this. Either that or give us the option to remove the HUD altogether. I honestly don't understand why all video games don't have this option nowadays.

I have not played Destiny in over a month because I didn't want it to get any worse. The image has faded some since I stopped playing it but it's not gone completely and I don't know if it ever will. I am beyond pissed about this. I don't feel that Bungie is liable for my set but I do think they should take some responsibility in making sure other plasma owners don't suffer the same issue I have. I will not play this game again until they patch in a solution.

We had some discussions about this a month or two back in the thread. Several of us with plasmas noticed the IR from this game, mainly due to the countless hours we all put in. I've learned to deal with this by running a dozen or so pictures of white video noise in a constant loop overnight, several nights a week. It breaks-up the IR, and will eventually remove it over time. I've had to do this with other video games that I've played the h3ll out of.

It sucks, but that's one of the only minuses of owning a plasma. I don't notice the IR watching normal stuff, but it's readily visible on images where the screen is a bright mono color (movie intro screens, etc). I totally agree that video game manufacturers need to give us controls to either ghost the HUD, or remove it all together. Unfortunately, I don't see this happening, as we plasma gamers are a very small minority.

A soon to be extinct minority, unless someone decides to manufacture quality plasma displays. It is fading from my VT60, but still there when the image is bright, and it has been since early November that I last played there. In a few months, it will be gone.

Yup, I've had the same problem with my Panasonic plasmas. But it will eventually disappear from the screen, therefore it's IR and not burn in. But yeah, I couldn't agree more....Bungie (and all game companies) needs to fix this issue. It's a simple fix of changing the opacity of the HUD. #plasmaproblems

Anyone have/use the Sony Gold wireless headsets? If so, do,you have any issues listening to game sound and chat simultaneously with them? Game sound works great, but I'm having issues with chat. No matter what I do with the chat volume rocker, I cannot hear other people (but they can hear me). I'll be playing with the controls a bit more today, but if I can't get this resolved simply, it's going back.

at least I got my Eris bounties done last night.....got about 830 XP points from all of them after the boost the Nightfall gave me. I'm about 3300 XP points away from maxing her out. so hopefully by next weekend i'll have her done.

Hey no problem. I still needed to finish it too. If you hadn't have said you were on your vita I never would've known. I wouldn't have been able to play half as well as you did on a handheld.

might be on backwards, hard to tell since the microphone is hidden but the mute button should be facing the back

LOL, yeah, I thought of that. They're on correctly. I found a work-around on the interwebs that seemed to fix it. You need to adjust chat volume to max, then back it down 5 clicks. This worked when I was farming bounties with Josh earlier. Not sure how I like using a headset for all sound, though. I think I'd prefer my 7.1 system, and just use a chat headset when needed.

I had to change a setting on the actually xmb settings to get this correctly. I can check tonight when I get home

Wow. I've seen the videos, but haven't tried it until today. Obsidian Mind plus Bad Ju Ju plus high intellect equals virtually continuous supers for a warlock. I've never completed the "kill three or more with a single super 20 times" so quickly before.
