Hopefully this doesn't end up being laughed at TOO badly! I've tried to read up on this but haven't found anything.
I have a Toshiba HD DVD Player (HD-a30kc) that I haven't used in many years but have a Digital Video Essentials HD DVD calibration disc set. I got it on clearance for next to nothing when the format was discontinued... My question is this: Can I calibrate my LED TV using this HD DVD player and disc and then ONLY use my PS4/any Bluray player for all future TV watching? Will the calibration be "incorrect" as different players will output a slightly different picture? I'm fairly certain it will be fine but I figured I'd throw this up here for some open discussion. Ideally this will be totally fine and not require me to buy a new calibration disc... Many thanks for any help/opinions! |
