[QUOTE=croooow;10442897]It finally arrived today and even after "severe weather conditions" and transfer to post office it managed to make it to me without damage in a flimsy paper mailer that had damage itself!

Glad yours came out unscathed! Yours are the exact same slips I have.
Mine was only delayed a day due to the bad weather. Sorry to hear about everyone's problems getting theirs due to the weather.

Any idea how long the promotional price of 34.96 will last amongst the retailers? This is the first year that I won't be able to buy it right out of the gate. How long might I have before the price settles back up to the normal HBO Tax?

I believe it will last until Saturday night; however, since HBO raised the price on this season, maybe it will only get jacked up $5 instead of the usual $10.

Bravo BB! Thank you for making the exclusives online only and not in-store!
Not only do I have to worry about the weather in my area, which I can deal with...but I have to deal with the weather in other parts of the country now as well. Wheras I was in-store on release day and could've saved us both a lot of unnecessary waiting.

And these B&M's don't get why they lose ground to Amazon each year.

Let's recap, shall we:

S1: All new, 2 great slips. BB doesn't know what they've got, turns out to be huge
S2: Two new slips that act as a great follow up to S1
S3: The voting nonsense
S4: Online only
S5: Do I even want to know how BB is going to "outthink the room" this time?

Hey, I'm not the only one who thought this way! I like the Family covers but preferred the original cover at the time. Couldn't stand the white in the middle of all the black so picked up Targaryen to keep it uniform. Looks much nicer on the shelf then a bunch of black and a white one. Hopefully will be able to keep it uniform for the whole series.

I personally think the season one default slip cover is a fantastic and appropriate cover.

I have multiple sigils for Season 3 and 4. I am trying to get the Greyjoy sigil and Stark S1 sigil. I love how they look, but the entire collection at some point would be nice. I really fell out of this show at the beginning of Season 4 because I would often be on my phone during it, but I am really in to the show again. My mother and I watched season 1 and 2 on Sunday and Monday respectively. We are starting Season 3 tonight, finishing tomorrow. At that point we will move on to Season 4. This will be my first complete watching of Season 4.

How are the retailer bonus discs for Target and Best Buy? I have them both, but I don't know which to watch first, or if I should watch them before Season 4 (or if they give anything away)

All that in a single purchase? How much did it set you back, if you don't mind telling?

I think today you just won the Internet.

Yeah, good thing those books aren't a new purchase, I'd be pissed if they came in that condition!

I see that the fourth season is considerably slimmer than previous releases.

Why HBO, why?

Oh yea, they've been through hell. Came with me to work every day for several months (construction at a refinery). Those are cheap paperbacks from Amazon, the set was like $30.

I'm interested in first edition hardcovers for collection/display purposes, though.

Because it's better that way. I hated the bigger packaging in season 2 and 3. Thank god they got rid of the DVDs.

Well, I gave UPS one last chance last night and they didn't bother putting my package on the truck again today.

They have a verbal sh*tstorm coming their way.

It seems that the Tyrell and Martell covers are sold out online at BB. I'm trying to get one for an Aussie member and was wondering if anyone has seen these in-store or think they might come back in stock. Thanks.

Call them. And then see if you can pick it up in person since they can't do their job. Yours probably had the least distance to travel of any member here! Unbelievable.
