I might do the same. Pre order a copy and plan to go to the store as a backup (in case the one I ordered is damaged or the store is sold out)

My set(s) finally arrived from best buy yesterday. They came in a box and thankfully there was no damage. Here they all are with the rest of the releases:

The incompetence of Best Buy truly knows no bounds. I wanted to order both the Martell & Tyrell versions of S4, but could only get the Tyrell version since Martell was sold out. When the package arrived today, I opened it up to find the Martell version. My initial confusion led to joy, then to anger when I went to their website to see that the Tyrell version is now sold out! I guess I'll be trolling the secondary market now.

At least they didn't sent you a Lannister, Stark, Targaryen or Standard!

You can easily sell the Martell and be able to buy Tyrell. The same can not be said for the other editions. So for all of the screw ups Best Buy could have made, you got the best I suppose.

Wow, that's impressive. You have 3 of each season except Season 1. At this rate you'll have 19 Seasons of Game of Thrones. If only the series lasted that long.

EDIT- BTW I love how you arranged them. The dragon shadow flying on top and Ned in the middle. I would move Martell next to the Sigil targaryen and the Lion attacking the Wolf.

Don't want to start a ruckus but I found the black levels to be a bit inconsistent on the blu release. Ironically, i found the uv copy to be darker and more consistent.? Loving season 4 though.

Dear lord, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner really need someone else on their commentary tracks to rein them in. Their track was really rather ridiculous.

Yeah overall I'm much happier with the Martell version - I'm just amazed that they sent me the edition that was "sold out." I'm going to keep this one and see about picking up the Tyrell version down the road.

I'm surprised more people don't have the Greyjoy sigil TBH.

If i got the sigil slips i definitely would've got the Greyjoy, i'd probably replace the Targaryen with it.

My order would've been:
Stark ---> Lannister---> Greyjoy ---> Tyrell

I went with the regular sets though cuz i was late getting into the series.

I remember seeing quite a few of the Greyjoy version at a nearby store well after they had sold out everywhere else. Needless to say, I'm mad at myself to this day for not getting one. It's the only sigil I'm missing.

I hate the Greyjoys, no way I would choose them over Targaryen.

Default HBO sucks.

So without the dvd's being included with Season Four it makes the boxes smaller and instead of using 5 discs to fit 10 episodes they chose to squeeze 10 shows on 4 discs. They did everything they could to screw the loyal fan base customers over. I mean really who the hell is out here paying 34.00 for Blu -Rays on release date other than hard core FANS of the show. Most of the crooks out there already have HD torrents of this show the day they aired. Why the HELL does HBO screw the source of their bread and butter ( The Fans ) with this piss poor reduced in value , increased in price Season 4 release. ?

This is the very reason why ( DIGITAL PIRACY ) exist.

Love the show. Hate the excutive marketing team behind these bone head decisions on how to market the home release.

Fair enough, i just think Dragons are so cliche and overrated at this point... i'd take a Kraken sea monster over a dragon every time.

I admit
[Show spoiler]the Targaryens are the better represented house in the series so far and i haven't been extremely impressed by the Greyjoys but i'm hoping they improve. I like their House Sigil and i've always liked sea/ocean based things. There's also a bit of uniqueness to it in a lot of people going for the Targaryen, if the Greyjoy House does improve down the road, like say they become awesome in season 6 or whatever... how cool would it be to look back and have a season 3 Greyjoy... that's kind of a cool/unique thing imo. If they end up sucking for most of the series that's another story lol

Who cares lol, the PQ and AQ are still amazing with no dip in quality. And I buy blurays to own the blurays so I'm glad they got rid of the waste of space Dvd copies. There's not one disc that has more episodes on it then any previous season.

When season 1 came out .. i opted for the most expensive set with the dragon egg. http://www.walmart.com/ip/21318356?w...393992&veh=sem

By doing so.. i missed out on the Best Buy Sigil Boxes.
When season 2 came out.. i pre-ordered the Stark Box
Season 3 i got the Lannister Box.
Season 4 i got the Targaryen Box.

I hope they re-release the Baratheon , Greyjoy , Tyrell and Martell slipcovers the next year and going forward.

Exactly.

Idk what people are getting worked up over, lol. At least we have the same quality of packaging still. Something I was worried they would change for the worse. It's thinner yes, but still quality.

A point that seems completely lost on people who want to fixate on the disc count merely so they have something to complain about.

I care. that's who. I paid the same price as last 3 seasons if not more and ended up with less content. So are you one of those people that like to pay full price for less ? Do you go on vacation and pay 3 nights on a 2 night stay ? Do you pay for 4 meals when there is only 3 of you ?
I paid same price for Blu-ray / DVD / HD Digital copy last year and this year I only got Blu-ray / HD copy. Why the HELL would i want to pay the SAME?
