First I was under the impression that only WM came with the film cell, but the main Interstellar thread had said that all versions(WM/Target/wide release) would have it. I assume FS will have it as well.
This is one of the few BD releases my wife is actually championing my getting multiple copies of, in the hopes of the Matthew Mcconaughey trifecta.

Why couldn't Barb Wire come out with a Neo Case/Digibook/steelbook/etc all with film cells!

My understanding is that all North Americal blu-rays will have the cell - regular and exclusives. Outside North America, no such luck - no cells. There should be a sticker on the case mentioning if it has a cell. I don't believe the regular dvd will have it but I could be wrong.

All Blu-ray combo packs released in North America will come with a film cell for a limited time. That includes exclusives and general release.

It's got me thinking since you mentioned your wife wanting a Matthew.

It might be rare to find several actors that have less screen time, like

I did this as well. It's the first time ever I have bought more than one version of any movie. I am really hoping for the same cells, but specifically any with Young Murph and Coop. I was going to return the Futureshop one (low funds) but now will keep for memories sake due to their closure. Best buy version will probably go back to them.

Not sure if I will just open one and see if I can trade with someone here.

A piece of the film strip the movie was filmed in to. Like a photograph negative.

Not quite what these are...my understanding is that these frames are taken from the film copies delivered to commercial theaters to be played. So no negative or even original reels are being touched.
