Some things I noticed in vids.

You have to get behind her with Bolt paper. Always stay close & if she knocks you down & is facing you, don't attack. You have to time your movement when she lunge attacks at you from the front. If you time it right you'll stay close enough & be behind her. You need stamina too so try & not side step too much as you'll need to charge R2. Other option is to try & get a combo attack behind her.

Another tip I'll throw in the ring. She takes the most damage when attacking her ugly face. I use the hunter axe two handed so I get more reach and I love that charge attack where you spin around twice. On her as well as another boss or two when you do a charged attack you at times can stun them. With this boss she'll actually slump down so her face is on the ground, when that happens let her have it with another charge. I can't remember the level I was at when I fought and killed her but as an example, when I would attack her from the side/behind I would hit for about 200-250 or so, when I hit her in the face it was taking off about 800-1000.

The fact that you grinded that much to reach that level on your first playthrough is ridiculous yet awesome. I wouldn't have been able to do that, would have become bored eventually.

Some may think the dupe glitch makes its super fast. Hell no. Getting 1.5 mill per minute took me 3 days with breaks. In fact 8 hours average each day on the dupe.

Even the glitches are hard in the game.

It doesn't take long with the infinite blood souls glitch (which is patched now)

I still feel the pain in my left middle finger, since the camera doesn't pan with your character you have to run holding circle while moving the right analog stick. This adds discomfort over long periods of time because the way the controller is held.

Forgot all about the glitch. I was tempted to use it since I'm near the end of the game but I figured I was able to dominate Demon Souls and Dark Souls on my own and this game is easier to me than Demon Souls so I pushed on.

The Wet Nurse wasn't all that hard. I was able to hop around her when timed right as she's going to attack, that or move in close and hop back to avoid her attack(s) then go in with a running strong attack.

And there is the camera problem. Since it's independent of your hunter's position and movement, you're blind. Ebrietas is between the camera and your hunter.

I actually prefer to stay back for the first half of the fight. With the quicksilver buff, I can do 580 damage per headshot. I can dodge most of her long range lunges and get a couple of hits in. The second half is what gets you, because she does a leap attack that's harder to avoid than the lunge, and the laser attack, which is what kills me most of the time. If you don't have a full stamina bar or don't notice when she charges it, you're SOL.

Have you been to the Nightmare areas yet? If so there is an awesome place to farm where there are 3 giant pigs that net you around 9000 blood echoes a piece. On the way to them which is a short run there are also three of those cloaked guys who each give you about 1500-2000(can't remember actual number). The cloak guys are basically the same as the boss in the Forbidden Woods. Where you fight three at a time.

Edit: nevermind, just realized you were talking about farming up to the Wetnurse which is the same area I'm talking about.

A person or two who have beaten the game already on here were saying there isn't much to really do in NG+ but if you look at From Software's track record with Dark Souls I & II there will most likely be an expansion/add-on pack with new areas. I would be saddened and disappointed if they didn't do that for this game.

I think I killed that NPC & everything in that area. The first wolfman was taking shots at me from a roof so it was game on the rest of the way. I'd need to see a pic of what/where he is before running that area again.

Any chance you can get that boss's health low enough so she doesn't use freakin lasers. I may be thinking of another boss which uses lasers. I didn't wait to find out, but I believe you, it must be a huge pain in tho Aths

i never tried the runes which give you more blood echoes but that should help farm. i have 2 different ones.

Do you have any intention of playing through the game in Plus mode?

Ive barely scratched the Dungeons so I think Ill try completing them in the first play through. I have the ingredients for the 5th Chalice except 1 item. I wanna get there because I saw its very possible to acquire the rare gem there fast.

I gotta admit, when I entered the first one I was impressed with the new level designs. Adds more life to the game. Speaking of..

I don't know how to get the short ritual root Chalice for the Makeshift alter... Is it an online only thing? Do you know where to find it?
