4k and uncropped imax shots.

Proof if needed that the Falcon flight will be the Imax scene.

You're quoting the wrong person. I wasnt commenting on the validity of that comment, I said his comment reminded me of the livestream segment.

I havent looked into the whole lightsaber thing, so this was probably discussed, but wasnt the inherited lightsaber lost on Bespin? How/why they would bother to track that one down?

Here ya go kiddies, I captured, enlarged, lightened, and enhanced (a little bit) the alien face in the upper right corner of the frame in the scene with the alien handing (presumably) Leia the lightsaber.

I posted pics in this thread showing why it's Luke's and not Anakin's sabre.
It may be pedantic, but it's true. (not leveled at you)

The prop may be modeled more after one than the other, but in the movie "universe" they're the same light sabre. Anakin's from the PT which Obi Wan takes in Eps 3 and then hands to Luke in Eps 4, which he then looses (with his hand) in Empire.

I realize the props are slightly different, but for story purposes, it is the same light saber.

Now, all that is silly because in the post people are talking about, the writer thinks they're two different light sabers in universe. So that person is ignorant, not either of you.

Jeez, another 4K finish? I've got a lot of hat eating to do, but at the same time I've never been happier to own a 4K TV. There's gonna be some cracking stuff that they can use to headline UHD BD.

I'm loving the IMAX shots, I wonder if they'll be doing a 15/70 version given that this is true 1.44 and not digital IMAX? Hope so, that'll be worth another long haul into London (as long as the BFI haven't replaced their 15/70 projector by then).

I think it's clear that in the OT there were supposed to be no Jedi left except who we saw. That can be retconned, just like anything, but I think it's a much more powerful story when Luke is the last.
I don't think it would have been a bad idea, for Yoda to call in the Jedi, but the sole hero is something that Lucas would have settled on, after all his research into Joseph Campbell's books and ideas on hero's and mythology. I think Luke doing it on his own was a central conceit.

It's also quite possible Yoda did not know if/which other Jedi were still alive and in hiding. There's nothing saying he can sense every Jedi in the entire Universe. Maybe he should have built a Cerebro and tracked them down.

Obi-Wan misremembered everything that happened in the prequels (including Leia being born) so I guess Yoda could have a memory lapse too.

He had deliberate selective memory to protect the identity of the last skywalker you mean.

Why would he need to protect Leia's identity from Yoda?

When did that happen? The 'there is another' part from empire? He didn't respond to yoda, neither confirming or denying his knowledge of Leia. He just stated that all was lost as Leia was not trained at this point and also had no knowledge of her blood line, and Luke had not completed his training. Yoda was obviously more confident of her abilities. Kenobi has not denied or misremembered anything? When did Kenobi ever forget leia being born?

Not sure what you mean?

who knows, but it's technically LUCSASFILM releasing it, much like Marvel releases their own movies. so it will be up to Lucasfilm.
