No, you stated that power was less reliable than an Internet connection whereas most people experience the opposite.

I didn't miss it, it just doesn't tell me anything about how people will actually spend their money. Discs are still a big revenue steam, but the fact is that it's shrinking and expected to continue shrinking.

The good news for the near future is that physical media plays a much bigger role in foreign markets. The American market is controlled by a small cartel of like-minded Hollywood studios and distributors. They don't have nearly as much control in foreign markets.
Physical media will hold on much longer in Europe and Asia. Diehard American media consumers will be able to import for years after Hollywood has abandoned physical media. |

Physical media will always have a place but revenues are dropping while digital is gaining. At some point, they will cross, it's inevitable, but that doesn't mean physical media will cease to be, it will only cease to be more profitable. |

There's always going to be books, so that probably means there's always going to be movies on disc. Revenue will drop, for sure. Sales of discs will be pretty low. But movies will still sell on disc and coexist along with Streaming, downloading and the like |

Actually, nobody can know what the future of tech will bring.
In the '50's, the tech industry claimed that by 1980 machines would be able to do anything a human could do. Haahaaa, fools. So how can we really know for sure what method of watching movies at home will win or lose? |

I never heard of anyone in a residential or industrial/commercial area losing their power more than losing their internet. Internet always, ALWAYS has more stability problems than power
