how do i hook up non hdmi xbox 360 with onkyo 605?

I have the exact same set up you do, I just run the audio through the cd
input of the 605 with an optical cable, and run the component to the
tv....

And the component cables will output in 1080, but i'm not sure if the ones
Microsoft gives you does, my psyclone do though...
