Honestly I really think they should just remove them from the game or make it so they only work in strikes. I am not going to lie I used them alot this weekend and got around 20 exotics from 30-40 coins of 3 and it was awesome but I feel like they will ruin the game

I don't think any amount of exotic farming could ever break the game. At the end of the day it doesn't matter how many exotics you have in your inventory, you can only use 1 weapon and 1 piece of armor.

Getting the right legendaries is infinitely more important in the long run than exotics, especially after you reach 280 light. I'm 292 now and trashing most exotics because they simply don't help me. What I really need desperately right now is good legendary arms. I'm using a pair of lvl 294 blue arms that I got forever ago. the light is nice, but the bonuses are crap. If I haven't gotten one by tomorrow I'll have to cash in legendary marks and buy one at 280, infuse it with the 294, and eat the lost difference. Infusing a 280 with a 294 will probably only yield about a 288.

Do multiple infusions around 4-5 light a piece if you don't want to eat a loss.

Why would I ever buy anything from Xur besides coins of 3 I buy them for 7 strange coins almost gaurantee 1-2 exotics. So all I have to do is farm 100 coins a week and get anywhere from 17-35 exotics a week. Heroic strikes drop high level blue stuff, me and ric did 5 in a row last night to see if the rewards got better, I ended up with 3 purples and some 295+ blue stuff for upgrading, it took 2 hours for the 5 strikes, no breaks when playing with randoms since you cant leave between matches. It wont break the game just takes alot of the fun out of collecting part of it or getting that special drop.

Heroic strikes with Randoms are brutal. Had one where the guy would just run in and get killed in the middle for no apparent reason. Then I teamed up with Fuz and Silver and we ran 5 Heroics pretty much problem free. 36 Strikes though can be rewarding, ran a few last night and got a couple 295 pieces.

Sure if someone wants to play for those items, the quest addition is a big plus for me well minus the crucible stuff that will bring me back.

I'm sure there are some players that would do that exotic farming like that to have all of them but it wouldn't affect my game or my desire to want to play. Even if they find some combination that allows them to ruin the crucible that's still OK by me because IMO the crucible is the worst part of this game.
