I just tried for the Black Spindle with Necro and Infected......3 times.

Nothing

We were all around 296-299. The strategy/method we were using just didn't work. It's incredibly hard, and there's obviously something we're missing. We've read the guides, watched video, tried different gun loadouts. Nothing. Oh well.

Maybe the patch made it more difficult?

It would really kind of suck, if they did that again. Let a few guys get their hands on something early to create some class envy, then make it impossible to get.

I held off on the daily this morning after someone mentioned it early, but now realize I'm not going to be much help in any team, so I should have just done it.

Uh oh, Casual, Necro and myself were gonna try tonight for it. Sounds like it may be pointless to go for.

Last time with Casual and Necro we got to the last room with so much time to spare but we focused too much on adds. Does it seem more difficult than last time?

I doubt anything has changed, it's just really hard.....that's why you get a guaranteed exotic.

I don't know if the patch made it more difficult. I never even made it to the ketch ship last week. But if you run the daily as intended, then you would be fine.

I also heard if you have a couple of Titans you can have them put bubbles on the platform in the back of the room that way it's easier to keep the blights under control.

Now I'm wondering if I should have a go later tonight?

FYI, the Hot Patch didn't fix the Black Spindle. Still 310 according to Reddit.

I was a Titan. It was still really hard.

I found it better to go double hammers and just work on adds and dps boss once adds are handled. When adds come back 2 ppl keep on adds, 1 person dps boss and help with adds if needed with a super or heavy.

I tried once with randoms this afternoon. I solo'd up until the time to collect the soul. Then we all went in and got slaughtered twice...If you still need one person at 1:15 am est. I'm in, if not I will hunt for the fragments and try to do a nightfall....
