I finally bought Taken King and beat the main story quest, been playing with a few friends, although would love to play with Dodger, Adam, and some of you again.

Question,

What is the current fastest way to level subclasses? I heard about some item in that $20 pack you can buy, but anyone have suggestions?

Yeah the exotic class items that came with the collectors edition (I guess also the $20 pack you are mentioning) provide an upgrade boost (I think 25%) for your sub-class.

Also complete as many bounties (vanguard and crucible) as you can.

If you can use something other than Hung Jury, I would. It's not a very good PvP primary. Can you get a Y2 Red Death? That's probably going to be the top gun at this point. If you don't have one, pick up the Apple of Discord from the Vanguard. It's rated pretty good in PvP.

I agree that the wall jumping for the scent chest sux. I tried many times, and got close, but never made it there. Josh and I held the platforms for two of our acts yesterday, and we both made the run with plenty time to spare. I have one more character to go, so if you want to give it a shot sometime, just shoot me an invite if you see me. I need one more fragment on my lock, and Bungie locking out the Agonarch chest was holding me back until today's reset. Now I just need to find a large group at the court so I can get a T3 completed.

That exotic class item is L170 and can not be infused. Although the boost is nice, I only used mine for a few missions as higher level capes dropped quickly. Your subclass will eventually level, and it really doesn't take that long.

Don't waste your money on the $20 pack. Not really worth it. Concentrate one one character, run lots of strikes for engrams, buy three of coins from Xur for exotic engram drop chances. When you decrypt your engrams, do them one at a time and always equip the highest light item before decrypting the next engram.

Doing this will get your level up quickly. Engrams drop like candy these days, and purples are not as rare as they used to be. You'll also get a lot of legendary weapons and item by compiling the various quests assigned to you.

Completed the KF raid on all of my 3 characters last week. Getting the hang of it.

Finally got my first 4th horseman from engram drop. However, I'm not getting any exotic weapon drops that starts with 290+. It's always 280. I know that I can always infuse it with another weapon with higher attack.

Not a big rush for it but definitely need to work on getting Black Spindle and Touch of Malice.

I bought the Year 2 Red Death from the giant I-phone but it's at 280 because I just stored it in my vault after I made the purchase.

TBH, your weapon in PvP only really matters, if you are good at it.
