So, It's out since last night in Belgium and ... Everyone seems to absolutely love it. There's not one single negative word in the press, even the most stubborn professional critics, known to be contrarious, are giving extremely high ratings. "The best Star Wars after Empire Strikes Back", "A true follow up to the originals, capturing the real spirit and even making it stronger.", "Force Awakens tops your wildest dreams, no doubt, it delivers on every level and more." ... Damn, the anticipation ...

Remember, when Episode 1 landed everyone loved it because they were just stuck in Star Wars awe...then once the smoke cleared and everyone had time getting used to the idea that Star Wars was back, the reality set in...I see the same thing happening here at least for it's initial release...only time will tell If it's truly a good movie...

I'm not going to get all gushy eyed over it again until I see it and then re-watched a few more times...

I had a different experience. When the phantom menace midnight show ended... there was an unexpected silence, followed shortly by low whispers. Everyone had this incredulous look on their faces, as if they could no longer comprehend reality. As people walked out there were a few smiles but you could see distraught feelings take over as people discussed what they just saw. The consensus quickly became that a second viewing was necessary.

The idea of a Star Wars movie sucking was unthinkable. Now that the barrier has been broken, I don't think anyone would have any problem calling this movie out.

I went to Sith opening weekend twice, everyone loved it.

The prequel hate thiing turned into a bandwagon movement. And Jar Jar was the posterchild for the bandwagon.
