(Disney) Star Wars Marketing --- Well it's EVERYWHERE isn't it !!!

Many, many food items, in cans and boxes with the brand.

Also, individualized college themed canned drink holders.

Dollar Store also has items stocked.

Because it would completely ruin the beauty of that scene, and just be "cool" for the sake of being cool. That scene works because
[Show spoiler] Luke expresses everything with his face and not something physical. The scene was also left intentionally ambiguous, so we don't know whether he'll accept the lightsaber or not. Plus him using the force to pull it away from her is rude and not what a true Jedi knight would do. Only if she were a villain would that work.

The writer really pushed the cheese out of cheesy here...
Uhh...you realize that that's EXACTLY what Vader did after cutting his son's hand off in Empire?!?

As the numerical one said upthread, they made custom lenses for the show which used a variety of components, including elements from the C, B and T lines. The custom retros were used for the Rebels, with the sharper, more modern Primo glass for the Imperials.

About
[Show spoiler] Harrison Ford , his acting was a bit stiff and you can clearly see that he is past his prime to act in a Star Wars movie, so his character's death was ok in my eyes because I don't think he could have given more to Star Wars than he already did
yep I thought this would happen. As soon as the buzz wears off, its time to nitpick the film to death. This is happening everywhere on the net. People wanted for years for Star Wars to come back. It does and yep the original cast is back,. I loved the film ,it is what it is. But some people just can't keep the mouth shut , they got too pick ,pick and pick some more. We hear the *****ing about the original cast ,or I don't like Daisy's accent , just stupid stuff . The story is so so, etc etc etc. Look guys lets give a rest. Let see how Star wars fairs this summer with something new and original stand alone film. I'm looking forward to it, but the some people that ***** about TFA not being original, they will ***** about something that will be original. Movies are movies. There made to entertain. If you don't like a film, don't ***** about here, because in the end nobody really cares.

White males age 13-35 are practically guaranteed to watch this kind of movie. It's getting the other demographics who don't really care about Star Wars (little girls, old people, and minorities) interested in buying a ticket.
Seriously you think like girls only like things that have female characters in it? All four of my nieces LOVE Star Wars and their favorite characters all vary, one likes Jar Jar the most, two Vader, and the other Han Solo and Chewie, not a single one of them watch Star Wars because it had a girl character in it. My sister HATES Star Wars but she loves Indiana Jones, the Lethal Weapon movies, and tons of other action movies that do not feature prominent female leads.

Star Wars has never just appealed to boys only and I doubt it ever needed Rey to appeal to females. In fact I am a dude and I loved Rey, and Finn they both worked really well together. I have seen this movie three times already and plan on seeing it many more times.

Greetings everyone,

Old members from the site will know me has the Star Wars defender

Did not get to see the movie until today because I was a little busy with the birth of my son on December 16. I also stayed away from this thread on purpose because I wanted to go into the movie with nothing, no speculations, no wondering. I just wanted to enjoy it, not something that is easy to do in this day an age of Internet and information coming at you even if you don't wish it.

I can say, really enjoyed it. The little nine year old boy from 1977 inside me had a lot of fun. The movie, the style really had a Star Wars feel to it even without much of Lucas being part of it. I did find the First Order a little weak compared to the old Sith and the Empire but it was nothing major. They look a little like a minor league while the others were the major leagues But I am sure they may well grow on me over the next movies and it was not enough to really change anything on enjoying the movie. Was quite fun to see Han, Leai and Chewie again together. I cannot wait to see more of Luke in the next one. Very good fun movie, everything I would expect from Star Wars

You sound like you want someone to hold it against you. And that's creepy.

[Show spoiler]Han and Chewie boarding the Falcon, Han and Leia reuniting and even though I did not want to see it happen since he's my favorite character, Han's death. Harrison Ford nailed that scene.

I disagree, but I would've been shocked if a new Star Wars movie didn't beat Avatar.
