I mentioned it looks better, but it's barely noticeable and not worth the trade off in my opinion. If you are only going to buy one, I would definitely go with the Scream release.

That documentary was the only reason I bought it, as I found out about it after I had the Halloween Box set from Scream.

Given that they released the Car, I wonder what the odds are that Scream will put out Rollercoaster (1977)

I doubt that ROLLERCOASTER would be in Scream Factory's wheelhouse, as it isn't a horror film.

Scream has many releases that aren't horror. Mad Max, Escape from New York, Assault on Precinct 13, and more, so Rollercoaster would fit just fine I would think.

No,its more of a Shout release, Rollercoaster is too far away from horror or post apocalyptic tales

"Too far away from horror" ??

I nut going around blowing up Rollercoasters seems pretty horrific to me. But I guess it's more of a Thriller then anything.

I have yet to see a "wow, that looks great" release of Halloween 2 in any format. The dvds had issues and both blu ray editions have flaws.

Having said that the difference between the Scream and Universal releases are minimal. I bought both and ended up putting the Universal release in a double case with the Scream version...

I'd go with the Universal Halloween 2 just for Terror in the Aisles alone.

I see someone asked about Rolling Vengeance on Scream's Facebook page. They've yet to respond, and I'm hoping they don't, as that will mean a better chance of it coming this year.

I dont think so, anyway you answered your question, more of a thriller like No Way Out.
Ultimately it doesn't matter, as long as it gets a blu ray release from someone

I don't care which banner it's under, I'd love to see Rollercoaster get solid treatment in the US. It's one of my all-time favorite disaster movies!

All Creepshow films need SE treatment with 3 not on blu ray yet. SF should look into those. I think there is a Japanese SE of Creepshow 2 on blu ray but it's very expensive.

Anyone who has actually seen the film, Rollercoaster with George Segal knows that its a crime thriller - and definitely not a disaster movie.

Scream is not the ideal imprint for this type of film considering they release horror films. This is the type of film that Kino Lorber should release.

I wish they could get the license for Jaws The Revenge and do a release like the last Army of Darkness release with the different endings.

Not ever happening, SF said Universal rejected their inquiry to get rights to Jaws sequels.

Does anyone know whether The Hitcher UK SE DVD is definitely region locked? There are some DVDs listed as region 2 but they are in fact region free.
