I'm currently using a Samsung 61" DLP model: HL-R6168W.
This TV has a very nice picture and Blu-ray movies look excellent. I have calibrated the TV and I think it's probably as good as it's going to get but when watching a wider presentation the top and bottom bars are just slightly gray instead of a true black. Is it possible to get true black from my DLP display? The TV has a 10,000:1 contrast ratio. P.S. Is my TV 1080P? The Samsung brochure says yes and the native res is 1920 x 1080 but others have told me that it's not!? Here's a brochure for my TV with all the specs: http://www.dlptvreview.com/pdf/samsung_hlr68.pdf Thanks, Zak |
