Battles Without Honour is 90% sold out, and the Jacques Rivette box is 70% sold out.
Would you look at that. The book isn't sold out after all

Really surprised how badly Retaliation and Massacre gun have been selling.

Same, was pretty sad to see really that they've shifted less than a thousand copies each Haven't watched my copy of Massacre Gun yet but Retaliation is blood fantastic!

Agreed. I hope it doesn't influence future releases

I asked in HMV about Retaliation, they haven't had any copies since Nov 2015 apparently. That was my last Arrow title I needed to complete the set.

Bought 20+ in the last couple of months.

Worth every penny in my opinion. Now just need a Fopp shop to open in the area.

Was it ever announced how many units there will be of Blood Bath? No mention of it on the sales listing from the newsletter

Also surprised by the sales of Massacre gun and Retaliation, the diamond guys sets don't seem to be shifting too quick either

Luckily the battles set has sold well, perhaps Arrow may focus more on multiple movie collections rather than individual Japanese titles? I hope not of course

I think the effect it has had is reflected in the DIAMOND BOYS line with value for money three packs instead of single releases; quite happy with this format and hope it continues.

Am tempted to get the Battles set before it goes but £85 is a lot and, given that the five films will be released separately, it feels like spending £35-45 for a book and a re-edited version I'll never watch.

I have all the other Japanese releases released so far except Stray Cats (which I will be rectifying soon).

Was tempted myself last night. Resisted until now, but any mention of The Godfather has me

Same. I made sure to get them both 'before they sold out', but evidently it doesn't look either will for at least another year.

It's obvious by the Nikkatsu Diamond Guys sets and the Outlaw Gangster VIP set that Arrow have now taken a more cautious approach with these yakuza titles.

I hope they're not as cautious with Female Prisoner Scorpion - I'd be particularly grateful if they reissued them as standalone titles, as I doubt I'd be able to afford the set anytime soon (unless it turns out to be a slower seller than expected, of course). Obviously they're probably going to look at sales of that set first though.

Looking at the stock update, I'm now wondering if I need to pre-order the Human Condition set as it doesn't seem to be selling that strongly to start with. That could change when they unveil the artwork and finalise the specs though.

As expected, the sales for both Yoshida and Rivette have slowed down quite a bit. I'm hoping the Yoshida set is still in-print when I can afford to buy it...assuming Arrow don't announce another essential set in the mean time that is. The Taviani one already has my interest. Not sure I'll ever be able to afford the Rivette one at the rate all these UK labels are pumping out great titles! Eureka just announced two must-have box sets, and I still haven't got their Shoah one yet.

My 2 cents......

If this was a kok-up then wouldn't all the pages have the same issues with the line in the middle?
