A few very elementary questions I have here for Mr. Joshi :-
What kind of a source are the restorers settling for? The film was released in 70mm. I hope that is in a passable condition to be taken for restoration. And what about the sound? Recall, the film had a multi-channel sound equipment. Any word on whether the same is being reproduced? Any word on the status at all? How is the progress coming up? Is there really a chance for it's release, or our you just putting an extension to this mal-adaptive day dreaming we've been watching since forever? At this point, I don't really care about extra features, or the directors' cut version to be sourced and restored; however, I find the imperative need to have a carefully restored and re-mastered Blu-ray; please! Also, you mentioned Mughal-E-Azam having an HD master in Shemeroo's hands. I sincerely hope they've taken a fresh scan from original B&W negatives, and not the oh-so-sorry colorized version. Please shed more light on this. ![]() |
