That's a good idea. I never seem to get these emails though, for some reason. Everything they send me is for online codes.

I get all those coupon emails, would be happy to post them as I do. There was a "40% off one used BD, DVD or CD" coupon last week which I used on the new Jungle Book: $17.99 + 40% off = $11, minus $7 for selling off the DVD = $4ish total.

Just curious, are you a BSP member? I've only ever gotten ahold of one 40% off used coupon and that was when it was posted on this website. I would kill to get more. My store has a ton of used Criterions I could get dirt cheap.

I was a few years ago when they offered me a free month, but then I cancelled it. I still get the emails though, and they still let me use them despite not being a member. I don't think there's anything about the coupons that requires you to be a BSP member at all, the only caveat one store has given me is that the coupon/email has to be physically printed out.

And yeah, I've blind-bought some Criterions for $12 and $15 at times, those 40% off coupons are clutch.

Same here, am a member too and didn't get a coupon. I've see that happen before too. Makes me question how they handle that for sure.

That is exactly what I was looking for! Have some stuff to trade in. Last time I used a similar coupon it made a difference.

I never get these emails for some reason. Not currently a BSP member but I have been in the past.

I also have $22 in credit that I am saving till I see something I want.

Thank you. I'll print this out and try to use it before the 30th. I have carboard boxes of old DVDs to go through and probably get rid of. Even if this just takes the trade in value of discs from .50 cents to .75 cents, that will be nice because these are basically worthless.

Is the trade in value generally any good? Do they take the trade-ins just whenever or do they require you to do it at specific hours?

Just did my first trade-in there last weekend. You can go anytime but they generally stop accepting trade-ins 30 mins to 1 hr before close.

Value isn't great, but it depends entirely on the title. I was trading in old blu's that I wouldn't be able to give away anyway so I just went ahead and accepted. You can check trade-in values on their website but those are website specific and were only about 1/3 of what I got in-store.

As mentioned above, overall its not great. Although sometimes I am surprised by how much I was given on a particular title when I was not expecting as much.

But, I usually only trade in Blu-rays or DVDs which I know are not going to bring in much to begin with whether sold here, via Craigslist, or on eBay.

Thanks for the feedback guys. There is a used bookstore around here that I've traded into before, but they generally don't offer much either. I got the 30 day trial of the bsp, so I might roll the dice on some I have. I don't want much, just hoping it is more than $.25 a movie. Boy, do I wish we still had MovieStop...

Well they don't take anything that trades in for less than $.25 in their system so at the very least you'll get that stuff back
