I haven't rated your collection in probably a year. It's definitely grown a lot. Mostly modern with a spattering off some pre 2000 titles but I really like it man. There are some titles I'd never own but it's your collection and not mine. Keep growing the collection. Something tells me you will. Stick to it.

Since there never has been any official standards by which we rate one another's collections, I can only assume it's left up to our individual suggestions and grading systems. One of us can rate a collection real high based on personal likes and dislikes, while another can rate real low, based on same standard.

As a former manager for video stores, I am use to seeing categories based on genres. Categories based on decades is really a unique way of grouping your films, and if it works for you, then don't change for anyone else, but since you DID put yourself in here and asked for a rating, OK.

If your collection were a video store, I'd have a heck of a time finding certain titles I might be looking for, or genres I was in the mood for. So, for ME...I'd consider categories based on decades awkward. But I respect your personal choice to do so.

You have an amazing selection of titles, great films available and a fairly decent range of genres. You really love Dark Comedies, Noir & Thrillers, it shows. I might suggest more musicals, but then again....that's JUST me.

Our taste in films are a bit different, but you have plenty I haven't seen, so I could still find something interesting to watch.

Great job, you have an impressive collection.

You're absolutely correct. You're entitled along with everyone else on your opinion. But I just don't understand how a collection can be rated based of the way it's listed on this sight? That truly has absolutely nothing to do with what one owns. With respect, this thread isn't titled "Rate my collection based off how it's organized"
True, it's more difficult and not as user friendly to view if your the rater, but again, if a person doesn't take the time to rate a collection thoroughly, what's the point? It's about the movies. I've seen some posters rate a collection 2 minutes after the last poster posted. 2 minutes? That's just a post to get your own collection rated. Lol of course you may have seen that persons collection before so that's cool in these eyes of mine.
It's all good man cause this is all for fun anyway. If someone gets mad because someone rated their collection low, get out of this thread.

You got a lot of stuff. Tons of good titles and we both own some of them. Overall, nice collection but for me I wouldn't ever want to own a considerable amount of what you have. A mixture of different collecting habits/tastes.
