I got this for $17.95 from DVDEmpire, with shipping it was $20.93 tracking says (it's in OH) I should have it by this Friday! I was waiting for amazon to have it for the price BB has but, they haven't budged. of course, when I go to order it on BB, it says 4-6weeks backordered.

I took my chances with DVDEmpire and it shipped two days later. i'll let you guys know when I get it if it has the slip or not. I expect it will, but.........

oh, of course, now at the site, it's listed as "unavailable" if your trying to go and buy it now from them. thank goodness mine shipped a couple of days ago before it became, unavailable. they boned me before with the metalpak of Ash vs Evil Dead S1 as they did to a lot of folks at this site. this time, I've got UPS tracking info that says the package is been on the move for a while so, I'm good this time.

I see amazon dropped the price from $34 to $30 but still almost $18 higher than BB. how is that possible, BB list it for $22.99 now showing available where I'm at and amazon still listing for $30.80

Deep Discount is doing a 15% off sale and I was able to snag The Thing for $20.50 after promo, shipping, tax.

Carrie is still not available anywhere for under $30.

BBY is supposed to have it in stores but the closest one to me is far enough that total money spent would equal $30+

Thanks for the reply. DD sure isn't as reliable as they once were, pulling weird stuff like you just had happen...or just cancelling whole orders for no reason like happened to me before there.

I think I'll stop at the BB tomorrow to see if I can grab one, it's right next to Costco I have to visit anyway. Expecting to be disappointed like usual but worth a shot.

I ordered from DDD all the time in their prime (02-08) and about the last word I'd use to describe their service would be reliable, ha ha.

I picked one up from Best Buy today too but just ordered online and selected "store pickup" - the 45th street and Fifth Avenue Manhattan location had about three copies left at that point, according to the website, but I definitely wanted to make sure it was there before heading over there for nothing.
