Default PS3 settings - new owner
After spending a week reading posts on this forum I decided to go out and buy the PS3. I remember reading a few posts where users talked about the PS3 sending a 1080i signal rather than 1080p when playing a bluray. I have a 1080p TV and I set the PS3 to play video through HDMI and audio fiber optic (cheap receiver that needs replacing). Is there anything else I need to do to have it play 1080p for bluray and 1080i for standard DVDs? Is there an info button that will tell me what resolution it's being broadcast at?
