Is supernatural possession horror getting tiring?

The glut of these types of films the last few years (aka the Conjuring, Insidious (and their spin-off films), and all the exorcism-themed films) seems like Hollywood is beating a dead horse into the ground. I enjoy horror films about the occult and the supernatural, and I think what's needed is some fresh concepts and ideas. We don't need more "jump scares" and "booming, rumbling "ominous" sound cues" and that sort of stylistic approach either. It's grown tiresome....
