Default Odd issue with Samsung F8500

So I've had an odd issue occurring intermittently with my 64" F8500 lately.

Once in a while, when turning the TV on, the picture will be very bright (much noticeably brighter than the settings I have it at).

If I go to the picture settings when this occurs and adjust any of the settings, the picture, itself, does not change. I can move the numbers up and down on various color settings, brightness settings, etc., but there is no change to the picture.

If I turn the TV off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on again, the picture will then look correct, and if I attempt to adjust the settings, they change as they should.

This just happens randomly when turning the TV on after it hasn't been used for a while, and it's not necessarily every time, though I think it is becoming a bit more frequent than before.

Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be, and what fix there is for it, if any? Is this something that I should expect to get worse and eventually be permanent?
