What the heck is going on with Washington? A high profile employee of the Skins suggested publicly that the GM has a drinking problem and he franchise doesn't even bother releasing a statement or coming to their GM's defense? Now this is leading to conspiracy theories that the franchise planted the drinking story to hurt his McCloughan’s popularity with the public.

Last week, former Washington tight end Chris Cooley, who works for the team and for a Dan Snyder-owned radio station, questioned on the air whether General Manager Scot McCloughan has been drinking. The team declined to comment.

But declining to comment doesn’t make a story go away, and a column today in the Washington Post suggests that the team’s silence speaks volumes. Columnist Jerry Brewer suggests that Cooley’s speculation about McCloughan’s drinking may have been planted by the team in an effort to reduce McCloughan’s popularity.

McCloughan has been open about his problems with alcohol in the past. For his employer to use that in an attempt to discredit him would be disturbing.

I mentioned this about a week ago, when I heard Cooley on the radio.
Washington seems to be playing a dangerous game of chicken with both their GM and their QB.
Maybe their grand plan will reveal itself over time, but knowing this owner...I'm guessing it will result in another laughing stock of a front office.
I feel bad for McCloughan. The guy isn't even allowed to speak up for himself. If he quit today, I bet half the league would line up for his services.

We still talking about Romo damn. It's been like 2 years since he played a legit game. He's played 4 games in 2 years he's about to be 37 does anyone really think he's getting a shot with a contender. I'd be scared sh!tless he's so fragile now and your gonna have to pay him a lot.
