Default Score : A Film Music Documentary (2017)

This documentary brings Hollywood's premier composers together to give viewers a privileged look inside the musical challenges and creative secrecy of the world's most widely known music genre: the film score.

Debuting director Matt Schrader brings us interviews by John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, James Cameron, Randy Newman, Junkie XL, Howard Shore, Alexandre Desplat, Steve Jablonsky, Thomas Newman, Patrick Doyle, John Powell, Moby, Steven Spielberg, Garry Marshall, Jerry Goldsmith, John Debney, James Horner, Trent Reznor, Harry Gregson-Williams, Brian Tyler, Atticus Ross, Elliot Goldenthal, ... and more.

Well, for someone who fell in love with film music as a kid by movies like 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom' in the mid-80s, I went totally nuts when I discovered you could actually buy that music on CD in the mid-90s. 'Jurassic Park' was the one. I don't watch documentaries in theatres very often, but this one might be different.
