Queen of Katwe (2016)

I joined the Disney movie club last month basically to get a couple of their exclusives. This month's selection is this movie directed by a female Indian director Mira Nair. I've seen a few of her films since I really enjoy her directing style. Though I was leery at first because chess is not my thing but this was an engrossing movie. The story is about a young girl raised in the slums whose fortunes rise dramatically when she learns the game of chess. I highly recommend this inspiring story.
