I just got Outlaw Star UK BD release, and while is freaking amazing looking, I noticed that the English audio is completely botched. Only on the first 4 or 5 episodes, it sounded fine. It's on the remaining episodes where it's completely mess up. There is no bass! None at all! During the OP sequences, it is very noticeable. I toggle between the English and Japanese tracks during the OP sequences. On the JP track, I hear the bass just fine while I don't hear it all on the English track. It's like anything below the 120 Hz range is completely muted or silence enough where you can't hear it. Maybe it's just the OP sequence that is mess up. I still have yet to verify if there are bass problems during action sequences on the English audio in comparison the Japanese track.
Since the UK is a 1:1 clone of the JP release, then it will have the same audio issue. I wonder if it's the same problem on the Funimation release since it's from the same source? I'll be surprised if there are no issues at all with English audio getting the bass sound botched. Last edited by omarchafa; 06-28-2017 at 04:21 AM. |
