Yep I did that with Logan. I initially placed the order at a store 40mins away. Someone canceled one week before release at a store closer to me so I switched to that one.

Yes and no...they don't charge you until it ships, but they will do occasional rolling authorizations to make sure you have the funds available. If you use a debit card to preorder, be careful.

If you use Paypal anywhere you are charged right away cause Paypal takes ur money. For Best Buy if you pay with a credit card they charge but then the purchase drops off until the item is ready to ship. Its just to verify that you have the funds in ur account.

I rephrased it to make absolute certain. I'm like 80 miles from one store that still has a preorder available and would like to make sure I can change it if a closer store opens up.
